UST’s PhD programme is offered in collaborative partnership with the prestigious Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Free University of Amsterdam), one of Europe’s leading research universities, with a strong interest in Reformed theology.

Students are supervised by UST faculty, benefitting from leading evangelical scholars across the fields of Biblical Studies, Systematic & Historical Theology and Church History. Supervisors include Professor Michael Haykin, Professor Michael Reeves, and Professor Robert Letham.

PhD students are encouraged to join the Newton House community as Junior Fellows, taking advantage of the many benefits of our fellowship, including visits to Oxford for time with the Director and Fellows, webinars, and stimulating input at the Newton House Conference.
